My Cartier Santos Galbée XL — Exactly Quality Watch I Was Looking For!

Cartier Replica Watch was coming onto my radar as another iconic brand with likewise pieces. The models Amsterdam Vintage Watches was presenting every week especially caught my interest.

And when the Santos de Cartier Galbée XL (ref. 2823) came by, I was intrigued. It was like the Santos Dumont I’d seen before, but a lot less dressy with its full steel bracelet.

Extra Large didn’t sound like my size

The look of the integrated bracelet sports watch immediately appealed to me. I found the polished square bezel to accentuate the perfectly square dial with the curved case all around it, which is so sexy. It does have a second hand and a quirky date window that eats into the “watchmaker’s four o’clock” on the dial at 4:30, but the rest of the design totally makes up for it.

The current Cartier Santos in Medium wasn’t for me

I also found a new version of Cartier Santos. The diameter of 35mm is indeed larger, and the previous square bezel has a new design. Cartier Chinese Replica Watches decided to integrate the bezel with the bracelet, perhaps to make its design more fluid.

But for me it actually takes away some of the characteristics that the “old” Santos model had. Of course, I still went out and tried it on because it was the closest thing I could find to the watch I was looking for.

At 42mm, the lug-to-lug length is not bad for a medium size, but what bothers me a bit is the large 35mm square size. The watch it replaced – the ’74 Rolex Datejust – was, of course, 36mm wide. But that’s the traditional circular design.

This 35mm square Cartier Santos Replica Watch feels a lot bigger than that one, and it doesn’t feel right. My feelings confirm what I’ve read online about square watches that look much larger than they actually are. So I decided to go the smaller neo-retro route.

The Cartier Santos Galbée XL ref. 2823

They are more commonly worn by women, so maybe the 32mm option is just my choice. The voiceover in the WatchBox video even mentions that it wears more like a 36mm Cartier quality replica watch, and that’s it!

But that very classic Roman numeral design combined with a very sporty steel case and a bracelet with messy screws really appealed to me. I figured that if the Cartier Santos wasn’t for me, I could always sell it, as I did with the Datejust. Believe it or not, when I arrived and opened the box, my first thought was that it still looked huge. It’s only when I wear it on my wrist that I feel like it’s the perfect shape and size for me.

The perceived thickness of the watch disappears completely when worn on the wrist. The curved case and its almost one-piece bracelet wrap perfectly around your wrist. The thin polished bevels on the otherwise fully brushed case accentuate these curves nicely.

It’s so sexy when you look at its profile! The Replica Watches China Wholesale bezel also stands out in all its polished glory. Unlike some other bezels that are held in place by screws, the screws here are completely misplaced, like all the other (fake) screws on the bracelet.

This is something I really like and it works great. It gives the watch an informal touch that doesn’t need to be “too perfect,” like the birthmark above a supermodel’s lip.

A crown that’s playing hard-to-get

I’d say the 4:30 date window serves the exact same purpose. You won’t even notice it when you’re wearing Cartier grade 1 replica watches. What you notice is the beautiful ensemble of hot blue hands and crown tips.

It is so difficult to hold the crown and wind the watch. However, I am now getting rid of the watch winder as I wear the Santos a lot more than I expected. Therefore, there is usually no need to wind or set the watch.

An all-day, everyday beauty

That’s right, I’ve been wearing this beauty a lot. It just works so well for any occasion and with any outfit — summer or winter, day or night. That also means especially the polished bezel is getting quite a few marks, but they suit the Santos as the sports Fake Cartier Watches Online it was designed to be.

What about you? Have you replaced a watch in your collection with something else? What was it, and how did it work out? Also, tell me what you think of replacing a Rolex Datejust with a Cartier Santos. Did you ever think about those as interchangeable models?
